Artist's Statement

"The spark of light out of darkness that becomes the sun, the moon, the dot, the circle, the sphere, the wheels of civilization, becomes a virtual quantum holographic illusion of reality."

Antonio Arellanes is a visionary engaged in creating works that help us, the viewers, grasp the newer concepts concerning space, time, and light. His iconography presents archetypical images juxtaposed in such a fashion that at some unconscious level we are challenged to question our assumptions concerning the basic constructions of reality. So, too, in his iconographic references to space and time, Antonio inserts symbols into his complex compositions that are windows into other levels of consciousness.
